Also, I would like to share my opposition for the Snap Vote in #council-voting. My system is deemed good and effective by former Senator Sh00b and incumbent Senator Coca. However the 5 people on the Council are chosen by the Senator, the Voopmont citizens can petition for their replacement. In other words, if you like a Council member, you keep them. If most people do not deem them fit for the Council, they can replace them. The 5 Council Members represent the voice of Voopmont. However they are not directly voted in, you can replace them through a Petition. I think it is a balanced system, as well as the two Senators listed above. With everyone who wishes to be a Council Member being on the Council, it will be hectic. The whole point of my system is for representation. And the reason I do not have the Council Members directly voted in by the people, is due to the amount of people in this server. Having 10 people vote to elect 5 people will simply not work. So I ask that you Council Members vote against the Snap Vote that the previous Senator Coolio wants to become true to ensure a better Council and a better Voopmont. @deleted-role (edited)

@willywonkapants there is no cooldown, if they become a icelesian citizen they are no longer registered in voopmont, which means they cannot vote in voopmont's district policies
they can still vote for the senator of voopmont, but they cannot vote for the governor of voopmont
they can only vote for the governor of icelesia
it gets it's own district server, and before voting on any bills, it first will vote on the current district policies and if they should be in effect for icelesia
this bill was really half-assed and not good

As long a Icelesia is a part of voopmont it will never be secure in its autonomy. Not 3 days ago Icelesia was reincorporated into voopmont mind you without a vote or an explanation to anyone about what or why. Hell voopmont didn’t even consider the topic worthy of a press release or a simple dm to the governor.

There are a few things 1. Separate trade relations (most districts have embargoed voopmont, to my understanding) 2. Full control over oil and crystalline industries 3. A stronger guarantee of Icelesian autonomy such as an automatic reinstatement clause in the constitution 4. The separation of voopmontian control over the Icelesian navy I can explain their reasons behind these if asked

The Icelesian government has invested thousands into AA missiles (in preparation for the numerous invasion threats of medivala) to have that just removed would make no sense. This includes our extensive navy which includes 17 submarines and 2 destroyers
Not to mention the fact that Icelesia has also invested into researching new proprietary military hardware. Will this all be just given to voopmont?
I cannot vote yes on a bill that fails to address such issues

@Est.Chicago firstly, The IAP will not revoke the ILE per say (I don't have the power to do so anyways), because the two bills are more or less unrelated, IAP is just there to define autonomy because a district will not be going away anytime soon. That problem will be for the future us to decide. Another thing is that we are not taking away your weapons, aka dismantling them. They are just going to be under the Voopmontian military but would be under the same Icelesian personal, aka just administrative changes. So it's not like we are taking the weapons and placing it somewhere else. I completely understand why you would be opposed to such an agreement considering that you guys spent lots of money and time into building a military. I just like you to know that Voopmont would protect you guys if a conflict were to arise (no shit lmao) and a change in uniform isn't going to affect a lot, like I said, same officers, same personnel just different flag (edited)

may i point out that the current constitution states
For the Icelesian Governor to veto regional bills, or use their executive power to automatically pass regional bills, they are required to ask for permission to do so from the Mainland Voopmontian Governor.
i literally removed that in the proposed const.
governors are now equal
in power
and in responsibility
